What If America was Benevolent from Her Onset?

What is benevolence, one may ask not knowing the depths of the word and how valuable it is to our overall stability, advancement, and just simply the life existence of mankind.

Hmm, benevolence is everything we were designed to be and what we ought to be as humanity.

Are we kind, showing kindheartedness to those that are sympathetically in need?

Do we exemplify big-hardheartedness and generous to those that are less fortunate then us and in dire need?

Do we spread goodness to everyone we meet and come in contact with in life?

Are we charitable, giving to those who are more desperately in need than us, extending true altruism to all of mankind putting others first before ourselves, when our selfish human nature want us to do otherwise?

Benevolence is what America should be about and should have been designed to be but instead it was designed and established for a particular race of people and not all.

For the mere fact that a certain race of people (African Americans) were still slaves, while some freeman existed within that race and blacks were still labeled three-fifths of a person, three-fifths citizen of the United States of America is mind blowing.

The Declaration of Independence was not written for African Americans or people of other cultures and race, although we seem to want to believe and internalize this belief today.

We all know that the founding Fathers of this nation were slave masters, who had no intention of being inclusive and benevolent to all people of mankind when they rhetorically designed the constitution of the United States of America.

The writing is beautiful in the second paragraph of the first article in the Declaration of Independence, which Jefferson writes, saying, “We hold these truths to be sacred & undeniable; that all men are created equal & independent, that from that equal creation they derive rights inherent & inalienable, among which are the preservation of life, & liberty, & the pursuit of happiness.”

Man, how awesome and benevolent those words are if they were meant to be applied for all people literally and internally, whites, blacks, and people of all cultural backgrounds.  Had this been the case slavery certainly would not have existed, neither would have segregation, Jim Crow, and the evil innate hatred and murder we see now in 2018 resurrecting from the theme “Make America great Again” by the #45th President of the United States of America.

Those words written by Thomas Jefferson is #beneveolencerenaissance and if we as Americans actually exemplified and lived out those words daily in our actions and speech, we would surely be a true light and example to the world.
